Emerson joins Trabzonspor from Benfica

Emerson da Conceição has signed a two-year deal with Turkish side Trabzonspor, after spending one season at Portuguese giants Benfica.

The 26-year-old left-back, who played for Lille between 2007 and 2011, has cost the Super Lig outfit €1.6 million.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Emerson said: ''I am proud to be at a big club like Trabzonspor, both the manager and the chairman played a big role in helping me make my decision.

''I will do everything I can to help Trabzonspor achieve it's goals.''
